Council for Innovation Promotion Applauds Nomination of Peter-Anthony Pappas to U.S. International Trade Commission

WASHINGTON (June 2, 2026) — Today, Frank Cullen, Executive Director of the Council for Innovation Promotion (C4IP), released the following statement applauding the nomination of Peter-Anthony Pappas to the United States International Trade Commission:

“C4IP congratulates Peter-Anthony Pappas on his nomination to serve as a Member of the United States International Trade Commission. A former examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and a longstanding advocate for intellectual property rights, Peter-Anthony has a rare combination of patent expertise and public service experience that makes him exceptionally well-qualified for this role.

“As a nominee to the Commission with firsthand patent examination experience, Peter-Anthony brings a unique perspective that will strengthen the Commission’s ability to support the U.S. innovation ecosystem. The ITC plays a critical role in preventing infringing imports from entering the United States and enforcing U.S. trade laws, and Peter-Anthony’s deep understanding of the patent system will be an asset as the Commission carries out those duties. We look forward to his prompt confirmation.”
