C4IP Urges Passage of PERA, Other Patent Reforms to Augment NSF’s AI Action Plan – On Tuesday, March 11, the Council for Innovation Promotion (C4IP) sent a letter addressed to Sethuraman Panchanathan, Director of the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), urging the Administration to support the enactment of the Patent Eligibility Restoration Act (PERA) as part of the agency’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) Action Plan being developed to promote AI innovation. C4IP urges the Administration to support an approach to AI “that eliminates unnecessary regulatory obstacles while supporting strong patent and other intellectual property protections that support U.S. leadership in innovation.”
